Pre-test Outlets

Prior To installation, always test the electrical outlet in accordance with AN SI/ESD S6.1 Grounding Standard to insure ¹:

• The ground conductor is present
?
• There are no electrical shorts to the ground conductor
?
• The electrical outlet is properly wired
?
• Ground conductor impedance to the distribution panel is less than 1 ohm

¹This circuit test is easily perform ed with a PGT-161 SureTest Circuit Analyzer available from Prostat and other sources.
